Technical Aspects of Writing. This document gives my own short version of the elements of grammar and usage that undergraduates most commonly need to be reminded of. It concludes with a section of the most frequent student errors. Over the years I have become less and less prescriptive in my attitude toward correctness of usage, but these pages will be helpful to all who want to be recognized as in command of their language by the widest possible audience.
